A Letter Goodbye Poem by Sierra Celeste Cearns

A Letter Goodbye

'My eyes closed before the dark crept in,
My impatience filling the empty space.
If I could only see you again and tell you face to face,
All the regret that rules my mind
all the tears where I lay my head.
I'd hand you this letter to sign,
stating you understand all that I've said.

And I'd write with all my hope,
that you will come back to me.
Sooner yes I should have spoke,
But I know later, together we will be.
Please just don't forget me,
for I could never forget you.

And if you still say you love me,
I'll reply, 'I love you too.'
