A Letter To An Invaluable Seed Poem by Robert Stoddard

A Letter To An Invaluable Seed

Not everything is how it seems.
Mistaking truth may break some dreams.
For 'good health' generalize what I seek,
don't look for meanings I do not speak.

In true fact, not all is seen.
As you know you are no queen.
Yet, that doesn't mean that all is lost.
You can grow in value with little cost.

I'm afraid you think that all is done,
afraid you feel the devil's won.
Nothing I say can explain the truth,
nor can my actions break a shielding truce.

You think that you're not of my breed.
Yet, to my heart you're a priceless seed.
In due time, you'll be a mighty tree,
as I till the soil to set you free.

It's not that I push you away,
it's just that I have let you stray.
I don't desire for you to leave,
I only wish you would believe.

Never will my heart deny,
forever will it help you fly.
