I Saw A Crow Poem by Robert Stoddard

I Saw A Crow

I saw a crow perched on the sill of life,
he speaks in silent words.
His viciousness intoxicates your desires,
it dwells in your vicious thirst.
You call for vengeance, you call for blood.

You ensnare my lead body with a magnet.
Your will controls its field.
My earnest efforts restricted by your Tesla,
consistently increased by your vicious thirst.
You act on vengeance, you seek my blood.

My futile words scream forgiveness.
Lord knows I speak the truth.
My vocals overpowered by yours,
they're muted by your vicious thirst.
You're getting vengeance, you're spilling my blood.

With all my strength, I still protect you.
I see you safely home.
When truth brings tears I'm there to aid you,
amidst the repulsion of your vicious thirst.
You're delighting in vengeance, you're draining my blood.

I've never claimed to be as an angel,
but I've quelled the 'Black Bird's words'.
His resentment towards me is in you,
because your words are his design.
You are his vengeance, you're soaked with my blood.
