A Letter To Friends Poem by Ckristene Jean De Vera

A Letter To Friends

Rating: 5.0

You've made no man an island
So here i thought a chained bond
Lost in the dark like nothing
Like ashes was now our everything
Our eyes the last moment in bliss
But those locked gazes here i miss
Im not worthy to be a friend
I've messed up and made us end

Now our rings of bond had rust
Our many laughters now bust
Im sorry i didn't hold tight
I'm such a blurry vision of sight

I'm now a man made to be island
In tears and smiles, alone i stand
I see, I can never again go back
For i'm looking to a door that's locked
My friends i'm better than this
I accept i'll can never have bliss
I'll forget but i admit i'll miss
A friendship my heart can't reach

In such a blissful picture
Now the pain I need to endure
It's a mistake need no eraser
For it's a big scar remains forever

I swear i love you guys
But i'm not perfect and nice
Goodbye we need to tear apart
For broken can't be like the start

An insightful piece, nicely brought forth from the heart in good rhyme scheme with humility. Thanks for sharing.
