A Life Gone Bent Poem by Eillio Imbasciati

A Life Gone Bent

He gets her in trouble at times,
But at least he makes things feel different
Hers is a life gone bent,
A tragedy created from bits and pieces of negative moments that grew in stature,
So many pieces missing now what's left to put back together is too jagged to touch
Struggling with contradictions and a personal brand of quality,
Desperate for a reversion
For now, she'll settle for the comfort of him,
Until a situation becomes a part of what she should be,
Or feels completely natural
