A Little Bit Of Sun In Me Still Shines Poem by Patti Masterman

A Little Bit Of Sun In Me Still Shines

Rating: 5.0

There is a place within that always waits
For sunshine, knowing rain at last abates.

Everything recalls from whence it sprang;
As the songbird’s joy, when first it sang.

A little bit of ice inside the storm;
A hint of parents in the newly born.

The seed of love implanted at first sight,
To blossom fullblown, tender loving light.

Embedded in each tear the whole of grief;
All our ends twined round one falling leaf.

As brother unto brother does incline;
A little bit of sun in me still shines.
