A Little Pain Poem by Asma Khan

A Little Pain

I lived in pieces of glass
broken to save ego of a dead deed
once called a promise

I objected the beauty of the
beholder who cased me into
his eyes called a dream

I paved my ways all towards an endless
journey of blindfolded sights
in darkness called life

I nourished the dreams of yesterday
into flowers of today with
colours of joy called faith

I took out a part of time from
my life in the name of
humainty called devotion

I chucked my heart out of your way
leaving you free to fly in the sky
of dreams called success
