A Magnigicent-Black Horse Poem by Amanda Sch

A Magnigicent-Black Horse

Rating: 5.0

A magnificent-black horse,
Standing high on the peak of a mountain top, looking at the world beneath him,
His bonees and heart are weak, but he's determained to fullfill fate and course,
His footprints have covered the earth below, but not Paris or Jerusalem.

Books closing, hearts aching, hands folding, and the beginning of pleading,
His heart penetrating and hooves cruising along the cocoa and familiar floor,
A storm setting, clouds rolling, lightening striking, abd thunder blooming,
Eyes are watching and tension arises as the feared dove spreads its wings to soar.

Lost and mystified, it can't be the end, not finished revising and writing yet,
Three wishes given but not lived; time is needed to prepare for unknown,
Running, no longer the answer, it's too fast, can't hide or fight it, his will is set,
The angels are wwping, knowing he doubted and questioned the King's thrown.

The violent act committed, and a tear sheds from above as the clouds clear,
His dark essence trickles down the river to the ocean floor, black fading to blue,
The gift was taken for granted, a nd punishment was justice for his fear,
Oh how the sun is shining and hoping, as a new day begins so they may get a clue.

Nice piece...but what does 'magnigicent' mean? I know a story about some dark horses - they don't fear, and others punish them just out of envy...
