A Midnight Stroll Poem by Jeremy Kelley

A Midnight Stroll

As we stroll hand in hand
along the wildwood trail,
gazing upon the reflection of the
midnight luster on the ground

Peaceful silence surrounds us
as the voices of romance
quietly permeates our souls
and echoes in the ears of adoration

As I gaze upon your beauty,
Your cotton dress dances gracefully
around your legs to the melody
of the rustling leaves on the trees

How I long to caress you
under the pale moonlight while
your eyes sparkle more brilliantly
than the stars in the heavens.

Your skin, as white as the moon,
and the scent of lilacs in the air
heightens my desire to touch
your velvet lips to mine.

As the wind blows through your hair,
the satin skin on your neck
beckons me to draw near and
invites me to partake of it's beauty

Our moonlit journey is interrupted
by the yearning of a touch.
The hunger to feel your skin
overwhelms me to exhileration

The buttons of your dress are loosened
to expose the delicacy of what is underneath
The glimpse of your bosom against the shadows
summons my hand to embrace it.

My hands glide to your shoulders
and slip the fabric off with a gentle nudge
the cotton garment falls to a puddle at your feet
Exposed in the night, your eyes draw me closer

Your exquisite touch intensifies the moment
as my flesh is unmasked by your hands
the chill in the air blows on my skin
as my adornments fall to join yours

Passion burns within, like the blazing sun
with such unyielding intensity
until our bodies glisten
in the cool night air

As your soft hands embrace me
My fingers gently explore
the source of your heat
causing a gasp to escape you

As we lie on a soft blanket of clover
I kiss your quivering stomach
The sound of your breath shadows
the sonance of the blowing breeze

Your pulse amplifies as
my lips search tenderly
for the fruit that quenches
the thirst of my tongue

The intimate moment we share
enthralls us with bountiful pleasure
As our bodies, minds, and spirits
become connected as one

Time knows no boundary
as we let it pass us by
wrapping ourselves in the moment
of splendid bliss

Passion descends to calm coherence
Our clothes again adorned and brushed off
Only the aroma of intimacy and our smiles
leave a clue to our midnight endeavor

Our journey continues hand in hand
as we walk together, our steps in sync
Ready for a late night slumber
and dreams of wildwood excursions
