It was a miracle I was waiting for,
But instead I found you.
Sitting by the lake,
Feeding the ducks,
I was struck by your simplicity.
Just how serene you looked,
I found myself gazing around,
Could anyone not see the beauty in you?
I had to know who you are,
Lest I never find you again.
Before I give a chance to lose you,
For it could become the biggest regret
I could have ever had,
For you struck in me, Something
that could never have healed.
