A Road Towards The Light Poem by Ipsita Mohapatra

A Road Towards The Light

Rating: 5.0

"Then I saw a light shimmering afar
Thought I could reach it before the time runs out
But who would have thought the road to the light was so full of thorns
My legs shook
My feet bled
But I knew I had no choice but to go on
Every time I felt I'm closer
The more I felt my mind rattle
It was a tale I could have written books about
But it was of my own to write it down
At last when the light bathed me
I was sure it was another of the tricks my mind was playing with me
But thank the heaven I was there
No mirage but face to face
With the light
Warming my skin
I could feel alive again."
