A Mother's Tender Touch Poem by Genevieve Stone

A Mother's Tender Touch

Rating: 4.2

A mother's touch is good and pure
Unique, tender and everlasting
When i'm sad you are my instant cure
And when im not with you its like a sharp sting

How proud I am to share your blood and flesh
To have the honour in calling you mother
A bond that every morning seems so new and fresh
Yet old and so familier like no other

This bond starts in my heart and spreads to my bones
a feeling like i cannot breathe for love replaces all the oxygen
My limbs feel squishy amd mushy like english scones
As I remember your kindness and love over and over again

Thank you mom for tending to my wounds
Both physical and emotional
Your voice overpowers all other sounds
As you give me advice, both firm and optopnal

Thank you for allways being there for me
Loving and caring for me, being my best friend
Your eyes were there for me when I could not see
Your hand led the way when I was both deaf and blind

You were there for me when I first talked
When I first Opened my little eye, still attached by a cord now invisible
you were there to catch me when I first walked
And now our bond is invicible

You love like no one I have ever met
Your heart so big, wholesome and full
You give so much of yourself that people could never forget
And you always bring light to a day that seems so dull

You are so amazing, you are the best
you carry me on your magnificent wings so angelic
And gaurd me when I need to rest
Without yo I'd be like a candle with no wick
Flameless, pointless and worth nothing
You are the coal to my burning fire
Thanks to your foundation and grounding, I will be more than just something
And all because you gave me hope, ambition and desire

You don't often find mothers that are angels as well\And no matter how hard I search, I will never find anyone like you!
