A Nameless Soldier Poem by Michael Arnold

A Nameless Soldier

Do not pass me by this Remembrance Day,
Ponder for a moment before you drift away.

I fought my fight so others might live
And the world might learn to love and forgive.

So tarry awhile, but pray not for me
My eyes are dimmed I no longer see.

Stop here and pray for a world without dread
And peace for your children tucked up in bed.

Go quietly now friend and shed not a tear,

This nameless soldier now sleeps without fear.
