A Narrator Of Spaces In Between' Poem by alan brown

A Narrator Of Spaces In Between'

Rating: 5.0

It became very clear to me
that the world could not be round
As I traveled in the straightest line
and a bend I never found

I sailed across to Africa
on top of the bluest sea
But a rounded world could not exist
As a one I could not see.

I took an airplane to india
and then to Pakistan
But still I travelled in the straightest line
and no roundness was ever found

So I thought about the spaces
that must be in between
And realized this was the world
That I had never seen.

It was the spaces that hid the circumference
and took the bend away.
And now I'll know the world is round
until my dying day

Me thinks both you and Shakespeare deserve a fat 10. Slap one on.
