Animal testing is frequently done to tests newly made drugs, or to test fresh cosmetic samples, animals are also the first trial subjects to the newly vaccines. There are two tests mainly -: ° In Draize chemical is directly poured in the eyes, intensely painful, blindness, scarring and death the end result. ° LD50 is done to, to check the dosage, the researchers hook the animals up to tubes that pump huge amounts of the test product into their stomachs until they die. * Cons of animal testing - ° It should be done on criminals not on innocent animals. ° Vomiting, diarrhea, paralysis, convulsion, and internal bleeding in most cases. ° Force fed, deprived of food and water, painful wounds. ° Animal test is not proportional to human safety. ° Most animals lives is wasted. ° Maybe development of new viruses or diseases. ° 95% then failed on human trials. ° Animals are not resources, not workers. ° Over 100 million are burned, crippled, poisoned and abused last year in us labs. ° Animals don't get the diseases like us, heart problem, Alzheimer's, HIV etc. ° Human and animals often don't react similarity to a drug. * What can we Do? ° Replicate human DNA to provide accurate reaction and for studying ° 3R's replace, reduce and refine. ° Refine - minimizing the stress ° Reduce - reducing numbef of animals used. ° Try to implement more stronger Animal right Laws. ° Medical science has evolved so much that we need to find Alternatives. ° "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." - Mahatma Gandhi.
