Let this storm recede

Let the waves retreat

Submissive forever

And this land will endeavor

To flourish again



Let this rain sleep

Let all the water seep

Into the ocean

And this flame will begin

To burn again



Let this darkness surrender

Let the sun appear

For a longer part

And this rose will start

To bloom again



This day should end

Let a new one descend

From the horizon

And this heart will learn

To beat again



Let this picture be removed

Let the wall be covered

With a new portrait

And this mansion will recreate

Its splendor again



Let this nightmare terminate

Let sweet dreams dominate

From the rainbow

And this maiden will know how

To love again



Let this trial cease

Let the ailments decease

from the shadows

And this spirit will no longer be afraid

To live again
