A New Day Dawning

As I look from my window this morning,
my eyes behold the shimmering dew upon
each blade of grass,
shining like beads of glass as the sun
peers over the horizon.

It is not quite light, but not dark either,
as though a giant shadow still hung across
my face.
The sun glows orange as it slowly rises
and enlightens the shadowy earth.
The ominous outlines become trees
and homes as the new day dawns.

Soon the noise and clatter will again envelope
us, but for now, God's magic time
abides with us all.
The peace and serenity preparing us for
the hustle and bustle of
a new day.............
