A New Day Without You Poem by jason mcgookin

A New Day Without You

Close youre eyes and drift to sleep
I bite my lip as i start to weep
Clasping your hand, i hold you tight
As i wish you a seet goodnight
Up comes the sun
A new day has begun
Stretching out my arms to touch
But what i saw became too much
Gone is your radiant colour of red
To my grief youre gone your dead
