</>I took a holiday to Brazil,
A holiday i won't forget,
I met a lot of interesting people,
Some, glad I did, some i regret.
I passed miles upon miles of shanty-towns,
A truly shocking sight,
this kind of harsh reality,
Gave me such a fright.
The sun was splitting rocks,
And dying the soil red,
The animals were parched,
And clearly underfed.
The local children are so poor,
It would make you want to cry,
Some of them so malnourished,
They might even die.
People complain about this recession,
To the politicians they're hateful,
But I've got a new perspective,
So I can only be grateful.

I would like to translate this poem
for some reason it refuses to accept the mistakes I've edited, sorry...also this is one of the first poems I've written and everyone's got to start somewhere: D
