A New Vision Of Life Poem by Houda Boukassoula

A New Vision Of Life

Rating: 5.0

Lost in the open desert
My feet were burning bare
to assure it is not a nightmare
I Looked for some water
to save my wilted life
Then I asked myself
Why existing in this life?
I've never been myself
Without an objective
Without any glee
Always trying to flee
What I took for destiny

Lost in the open desert
struggling to keep alive
I knew that the value of life
comes from heartiness
Attitude and self confidence
With much certitude
With much gratitude

To show to the Almighty
For granting me a chance
To reconsider my life

Under my bare feet
The burning sand beads
Became a grassy field
Without any weeds
To suspend my new trip
Towards satisfying all my needs
Body, heart and mind worked jointly
To fulfill the everlasting soul glee.

Lost in the open desert Between death and life I knew the value of life I will have to save What I need is attitude... these are the expressions of a struggling heart.... very well described taking desert as the symbol of the pain of the heart and thoughts....... very fine poem. tony
