This is New Year's Eve, my friends
So much can happen next year
Will something bad happen to us
Much sadness that will bring us tears?

Or perhaps it will be the very best
Year we can remember by far
As we look up into the heavens
We will find the brightest star.

Let us send a prayer to heaven
Ask God to bring good news
Tonight world peace for instance
Could happen all the time we snooze.

Folks suddenly find good in others
No matter the color, religion or wealth
A cancer cure will soon be ours
And we will all have amazing health.

A prayer to God won't hurt, you know
While Happy New Year bells are ringing
Yes, that is all I want or hope for
Is for everyone a New Year's Blessings!
