A Night Alone Poem by Jacob Schnieders

A Night Alone

Rating: 4.0

Star light, star bright,
Why must I be tortured ronight?

My mind is cracking like ice,
Ice on the river when spring arrives.

How can I feel this sort of pain,
As though I was struck by lightning in the rain?

Water, wind, earth, I want to feel it no more.
Such physical things no longer matter.

I wish I may, I wish I might
Never again fight this fight.
