Always Waiting Poem by Jacob Schnieders

Always Waiting

A boy waits outside
Not knowing what for
Life goes on as he waits
But he never seems to bore.

He could be waiting
To go with friends to the mall
He could be waiting
To go anywhere at all.

He could be waiting
For the seasons to progress,
For winter to flower into spring,
And he may settle for no less.

What this boy does not see
Is that this change wasn't meant to be.

He does not need to settle;
Rather, he must meddle.

Life will not change
Until we change our own.
Unless we are willing
To spend our lives alone.
