A Nobody Song Poem by Gavin Anderson

A Nobody Song

You have cause the Hawk to sing;
With your voice the forests ring.
Wild things cuddle in your arms;
At your Sid are no alarms,
And I know…

REFRAIN:
I am just a Nobody that loves
A Somebody, true;
But I wish that Somebody
Loved Nobody, too.

Living in my No One place,
I dream I see Someone's face.
If she beckons, I will rise
From my silly, dreaming sighs,
But for now…

Conduct always full of grace;
God's love ever in your face.
Can you find it in your heart
From your Someone life to part?
Hmm, because…

Touch my heart and whisper true,
"You love me, and I love you! "
From my No One dreams I'll wake,
If a Someone, me you'll make.
Until then…

AFTER FINAL REFRAIN:
Yes, I'm just a Nobody
That loves a Somebody, true;
But I wish, with all my heart,
That Somebody loved me, too!
