You filled her days with knights of white,
fairytales, and ‘sweet dream’ nights,
love filled kisses, when she shed tears,
embracing hugs, to ease her fears.
To her you gave the gift of life,
and through it all, you hid your strife.
You raised her well, -just you.., not me-,
and then with love, you set her free.
I thank you for your loving care,
your sacrifice, and being there,
I hope that when you think of she,
perhaps a part of me, you'll see.
