A Part Of Me Poem by Elena Plotkin

Somewhere out there is a part of me,
Reaching out for her own destiny.
Once we traveled on similar paths,
which led to unexpected tears and laughs.
But now our paths no longer meet,
And to separate journeys we retreat.
So we can pursue our own hopes and dreams,
and someday maybe even happiness redeem.
We may not know where this new path will lead,
Or whether we will shall fail or succeed.
But we venture onward nonetheless,
Hoping and praying for the best.
And who knows maybe somewhere down the lane,
We will find each other once again.
