A Past Remains A Memory Poem by Safiyyah Manjra

A Past Remains A Memory

Rating: 4.5

There are people in this world who make us feel alive when everyone seems dead in living.
There are people whom we rather be in company.
There are instances where they make our days anything but stormy.
Oh how I want them to stay,
Forever, but then at least one of us always have to go away.

It hurts ever so much.
To build these relations
After have them broken.
By what?
Distance.
New Experiences.
Different Paths.
But in the end we all had something in common
Initially brought us together.

It seems worth it through it all.
To build these memories.
Even if they may be part of a lost past.
Even if it pains.
There are some which seem to last even through distances.

It pains though it really does.
I don't want to leave.
Attached through a constant magnetic field.
Which is gravitating me closer towards the distant opposing end.
Which is you my friend.

So please allow me to get to you sometime.
That I may be properly incline.
I will not feel this loneliness
This random distress.
