A picture hung
A heart sung
Love clung,
And
I watched
A smiling face
A laughing mouth
Twinkling eyes,
And
I saw
A white frock
A blue ribbon
Brown locks,
And
I cried
A tear rolled
A body shook
Lips trembled,
And
I thought
A little girl
All alone!
Where? Where?
And
I consoled
A merciful Lord
Who loved her
Looked after her.
