A Place To Hide Poem by Shannon Paul

A Place To Hide

I sit here in my own unforgivable darkness
I look apon the wounds i place on my body
I sit in my serendering silence
....You cant hurt me here

I wash the blood from my never ending sins
I clean the area of my unacomplished goals
I disinfected my hatered towards those i have not forgiven
....You cant hurt me here

I place the only things i hold dear before me
I lift the razer so i am in control of my own pain
I day dream about a place where the except me
...You cant hurt me here

I hold on to the shattered glass of my excistance
I lay before the willow tree in offering of my dislike of the world
I grasp the stars for something to hold on to
....You cant hurt me here

I walk infront of the mirror of my own discrase
I look into my own shallow, forgotten eyes
I see what others have forgoten and once more repeat
....You cant hurt me here
