A Pocketful Of Dreams Poem by Asma Khan

A Pocketful Of Dreams

Walking past the wet sand of time on bare feet,
I smudged my hopes with regrets of yesterday.

Waving good bye to the dust of an unknown fear in my heart,
I let go the colourful wishes on your name.

Emptying my heart from the precious sorrows you gave me once,
I dropped all grieves in the sea of pains.

Selling the entire kingdom of my love to you,
I poured plenty of tears from your eyes to mine.

Carrying an impossible wish to have you in my life forever,
I gained a pocketful of dreams.
