A Poem By Someone Like You Poem by Katherine Egan

A Poem By Someone Like You

I know how you feel.
I have been in your place.
Bullied.
Teased.
Hated.
They call you fat.
They call you ugly.
They call you retarded.
They call you worse than that I'm sure.
But who cares?
Do you know why they do that?
They do that so they can feel better about themselves.
They think that if they hurt someone else,
Their hurt will lessen.
So, the next time a person calls you something wrong,
Know this:
You are beautiful.
You are loved.
You are a genius.
You are fantabulous.
You are absolutely incredible.
