A Poem For The Dead - Poem by Maria Coelho
Time ticks away...
Your mind is still...
Don't want to see a new day...
Rather take another pill...
The darkness engulfs you...
All the sadness within...
Is this what you want to do?
The ultimate sin!
You try and think of a way out...
Will your problems disappear?
They won't without a doubt...
Time to face your biggest fear!
Death is knocking on your door!
Will you open and let it in?
You know you can't take anymore...
So let the end begin!
You lie still waiting to succumb!
The reality brings a tear to your eye...
A wasted life has become numb...
And waves a sad goodbye!
