A Poem Of Love Poem by Karen Chavez

It's a kind, warm, and strange feeling you can't explain,
something that will make you go insane.
Love can be kind of awkward or make you cry,
when your heart is crushed you will sigh.
It's hard to describe love,
I guess its like two turtle doves!
Love isn't just intimacy from one another but is also about caring and making sure we are safe each day,
someone who will go out of their way.
Someone who is so precious and dear,
someone who will be near.
someone to protect you from harm,
and someone with open arms.
Someone to catch you when you fall,
and someone to help you through it all.
someone with a helping hand,
and if you fall they would help you stand.
Love can last a lifetime and go so very far,
someone to love you just for who you truly are.
Love isn't based on what you look like or even about your hair,
it should be kind and fair.
That's what I think love is or should be,
and I hope one day someone will love me for who I am... me!
