A Poet's Dilemma Poem by Edwina Reizer

A Poet's Dilemma

Another day to pick up my pen
Another day to wonder when
I'll pick up my pen
with nothing to write.
All the words gone
out of sight.

But at night I pray
that tomorrow will come
with something to say.
For it's better to say
what's on my mind,
better to never
leave it behind.

Lost thoughts, lost words
where do they go?
Behind closed doors
where no one will know
the emotions I felt
that were hidden away,
the ones I didn't get
the chance to say.
