A Poet Should Be - Poem by Shalom Freedman

A POET SHOULD BE

A poet should be
A spring day
a morning dream
A source of Love-
Help to others
A poet should be
Kind
And
Quiet
And leave the reader
A little bit of light
Gentle Happiness.

    But a poet should be literate in the best sense of the word;
    he should be himself as you are, Shalom, interested in all
    that's human and divine!

    Cheers, Michael
