A Question Of Love (Sonnet) Poem by Dan Reynolds

A Question Of Love (Sonnet)

A question of love (Sonnet)

So when in search of words to portray love
In which direction should ones eyes begin
To single out an image from above
or spectral looking glass, to see within.

How many men, dumb-struck with pen have found
A lackingness to thwart their heart's desire.
Assumptions, love would gather words around
Still fearful then, to gaze into love's fire.

As deftly as we pick and choose with care
and though, bon mots have powers great and good
The mind's ideas, it cannot always share
We struggle in our quest, just as we should.

For if the words we could so easily glean
Just to say 'I love you, '
how much would that really mean?
