A Rational Person Poem by Raymond Farrell

A Rational Person

A rational person
When didactic
Can explain things
In order
To give
And prove understanding
As to the rest
What they know
Is seldom clear
Nor is it clear
If they know
Anything at all
That is verifiable
Replicable
Any fool
Can open a dictionary
And produce words
But one must think
How to get to Brindisi
From Rome
If not
By the Appian Way.
