A Ray Of Hope
Instead of Belgrade -
Belgorod,
Instead of new cloth -
Second-hand.
We lived very poorly -
Desperate,
And no one stretched
The hand.
Throughout the echoes
Of memory,
In bitter and aching heart
A ray of the hope,
Vanishing,
Believed in the victory hard.
