Elena Born

Autumn - Poem by Elena Born

Autumn, and leaves fall apart,
And in Hyde Park sun is setting,
Autumn is moving away,
Autumn is melting...

Leaves are repeating farewell,
Friend does not come, does not call me,
Autumn is passing away,
Autumn is cold.

Sadness is bitterness' friend,
Someone is losing and getting,
Autumn is passing away,
Autumn is melting...

Topic(s) of this poem: love and friendship

Poet's Notes about The Poem

I wrote it many years ago in London. It was devoted to my friend who was a student in Moscow University. Autumn in London is very beautiful, it is warm and picturesque.
