A Reign Of Violence Poem by Matthew Petranovich

If you look at the world for a second,
what would you see?
You'd see a reign of violence
sprouting faster than a seed.
You'd see it everywhere,
disrespect, hate and greed.
What happened to honor once upon a time,
and integrity?
Was it t.v. that started this mess,
I'd really like to know,
You see violence on t.v. and
you pay for it on cable shows.
You see it on video games,
does violence affect the brain?
Or is violence just spreading like a plague?
What if honor, compassion, and respect is what we taught,
I wonder if this reign of violence, would end on the spot?
