A Road Into The Past Poem by flona flona

A Road Into The Past

I looked over my shoulder
And what did I see?
I road that took me back
To the mistakes once made by me
The road is very dark and empty
With nobody that seems in sight
I am barley finding my footsteps
As there is no sign of light
I walked enough and now I see
Clearly the mistakes I regret
Somehow they are stuck in my mind
A memory I will never forget
I did try to walk further
But my heart was filled with pain
The road was becoming dangerous
And the black clouds have started to rain
Before walking any further
I saw your face, and turned back my way
Walking through this stormy weather
I felt the past being washed away
Slowly, slowly I felt wormer
And then in your arms I was embraced
As I came to look over my shoulder
I figured out the past erased
There is no road to the past anymore
And because of you I’ve been mended
We will start a new road together
Because the past has been ended

Incredible poem. You now have me thinking of mistakes in my own life.
