A Role Model For Contentment Poem by Francis Duggan

A Role Model For Contentment

If he has any cares on his face they never do show
He looks like a man with the inner glow
Of sadness on his features you will not see a trace
He always does have a big smile on his face
Wherever he is at joy seems to abound
He carries it with him and shares it around
I have yet to see him looking sad faced and feeling down
Of his sort there ought to be more in the town
A man who does love his children and his wife
Every woman should have one like him in her life
One who always works hard for his weekly pay
A role model for contentment of him one can say
It s people like him others of wish to know
As he is one who has the bright inner glow.
