A Runner's Life Poem by Maddy Rose

A Runner's Life

At the first glimpse of sunlight,
We hit the trails,
There are no rules to follow,
No barriers or rails,
Wind through the woods or race across the track,
The sun to your face,
And the wind at your back,
With a team you love or a friend to care,
Running can take you anywhere,
There is no limit to what you can do,
There is nothing holding you back,
You have to believe in you,
In a runner's life there is no normal,
There is no same,
There is no quitting,
It's not a game,
In a runner's life there is love and respect,
Dreams and compassion,
In a runner's life there is no end,
To what can be waiting around the bend...

Welcome to PH. I like to run or casually walking around. I can feel your poem, why didn't you add in the pain that we feel in the beginning of running? It must have added some spice to the poem. Well written and Energetic. Come on, Let us run together to nowhere!
