A Scarlet Dream Poem by Julian Takali

A Scarlet Dream

Amongst the wild blossoming rose fiesta
Bloomed a sprouting cherry flower
With ash grey leaves
Dangling freely, flaunting her dower

She danced the tango with the wind
Kissed the sun every so often
Wading with her compadres
In the satin pool of scarlet
Dared not a single man pluck her roots
Take her joy, trot her gals in his grim boots

She swayed, cavorted, capered to her death
Frolicing her lax gentility
Pervading the fragrant aura
With her boundless incense
Painting all with an ardent aroma
