I sat to see
The beauty in me;
As the colours of reason
Set sail in waterless seas.
On an almond nest
My emotions thirst,
For the side of me
That the world accepts.
In the shadow I lay
While my thoughts betray.
Will I wake a saint,
Or be a seed of prey?
Let me rest a bit
And bath my mind with sleep;
Then if I do awake
I'll give beauty a kiss.
