A Silent Scarlet Dawn Poem by Sanzeda S K

A Silent Scarlet Dawn

Rating: 5.0

A silent scarlet dawn breaks beyond the horizon.
Painted sky gives alluring smile whilst the sweet smelling zephyr swirls across the shimmering ocean.
A flock of silvery white seagulls
fly aloft, flap their wings
gracefully and choir the new day's
hymns.
The troubled fragile waves flow
towards the sandy shore in search of
tranquility.
My empty hammock swings back and
forth in a rhythmic motion when a
gale starts to blow abruptly.
My courage never fails walking
barefoot on the shore to embrace
the rapturous beauty of a silent
scarlet dawn where the ocean
suspends some dead shells miserably.
