A Silver Tongue Poem by SarahLouise Neild

A Silver Tongue

Lie to me and absolve my pain... Lie to me time and time again, I beg of you let me drink upon your poison! Let me feel no fear as your dagger strike's forth my heart. My blood caresses the cold surface of your hands, those once warm, kind gentle hands... I kneel before you a broken soul, no longer of strength and I beg of you for mercy!

Let me bathe in your scent, in your once loving caress, and your tender warmth, so I may believe I am safe once more... I beg of you to let me shelter into your embrace as I bleed forth my passion.. I am but a fool... So please I beg you.. let me drown in your embrace once more.

Through my haze of darkness and tears, I see your eyes once was pure but now vibrant with pleasure as you watch me perish before you.. but now you grow tired, as does my body of which lays upon the cold floor... I can not see you any more.. the darkness has over taken my blurred vision.. I can faintly hear the thunderous echoes of your foot steps walking from my world.. and I cry..I cry not for my pain nor for my departing life... but I cry for my heart.. I cry for you.
