Will I see you there
if I poke my head
over those rickety fences
will you be smiling
or still pretending
standing, flowers in-
between
or you will just let me dare
not to look for you any where
[any more than any thing]
or you will still let me whistle
a tune or two, when near
not knowing of what is there
over the heavy fences
still a garden, is it?
or a weedy-laden field
just recently deserted
but where will I see you then
if not here; is it when?
and will you still be smiling
even then?
[Jkt,9/4/13]
A delightful expression of innocent feelings of love and longing. Thanks a lot.
