A Single Breath Poem by Stephen A. Codekas

A Single Breath

A thousand years can come and go
In a single flash of light.
But time itself will slow,
As I gaze upon your sight.

A thousand years can come and go
In a single flash of light.
A single breathe will catch a moment or more,
Then fade into the night.

Spring will come and melt the snow;
The door on winter shut tight.
But time itself will slow,
As I gaze upon your sight.

A thousand years can come and go
In a single flash of light.
But time itself will slow,
As I gaze upon your sight.
