My Muse Poem by Stephen A. Codekas

My Muse

I am Dante; you, my Virgil.
You lead me not to Perdition,
But Paradise.
A Muse for the Artist;
Heavenly Inspiration.
My pen has taken its winter,
You are the Spring which enlivens it.
I ask not for an Eternity
But a single moment,
A single breath.
